80 Leg Table

After seeing the sixty nine leg table a client asked me to build him something in the same fashion but a little bit smaller size to fit his living room. I refined the design on this table so that the legs are thinner, 1/2″ X 1/2″ squares, and instead of using recycled 2″X4″ material I started with recycled 2″X3″ material. The result is a table with more legs closer together over a smaller surface. This was a very difficult table to build. However, the final result is a little more graceful than the 69 leg table. I think it looks more like an insect or a sea creature than the 69 leg table.

This Wood Stitch goes over a crack in the recycled wood stabilizing the wood from moving. Without the Wood Stitch I could not use this particular piece of cracked wood.
